Late 19th Century Afghani Shura

A striking example of Afghan craftsmanship, this late 19th-century shura survives in near mint condition—bearing only a minor chip to the hilt. The blade features engraved detailing along the spine, adding a refined touch to its utility. The hilt is carved from bone in a distinctive pistol-grip style. The grip strap is decorated in traditional Afghani  style color dye that still holds beautifully.
The scabbard is sturdy with tooled leather overlaying a pink fabric lining that peeks through cutouts in the design, offering both texture and contrast. This rare piece is both elegant and rugged—perfect for all collectors.
