All Wootz Persian Khanjar
A Rare 18th Century All Wootz Persian Khanjar whose hilt and blade are expertly crafted of kara khorasan or “Brilliant Black” Persian Wootz. This is the only example we have seen of plain solid wootz, which makes it quite a rare variant of wootz khanjar available in the current market.
Oftentimes even if the handle is of wootz, there are Arabic/Persian images, calligraphy, or inscriptions, and such blades (especially Qajar era) feature hunting scenes or animals. However this unique dagger deviates from all those characteristics —which adds to its charm and rarity of course.
No scabbard, but able to be custom commissioned along with this piece for an additional $100 from one of the best leather scabbard makers in North America.
